Will the bagel see that I used a Topic suggestion?
Anything you send shows up as a normal message to your bagel. There’s no “sent with AI” label or any indication that you used a Topic Suggestion on either side
I turned Topic Suggestions on. Why am I not seeing the feature?
If you've turned the feature on but nothing is appearing, it's usually one of three things:
- Your bagel hasn't turned the feature on. Both you and your match need to opt in for Topic Suggestions to appear in your chat.
- Your bagel’s profile is too empty for us to draft something. When this happens, you'll see “This bagel hasn't shared enough for us to help yet! Wing it?”
- You've hit your daily send limit. There’s a cap on how many AI-suggested messages you can send each day, to keep conversations feeling natural and grounded.
- Your match has hit their daily receive limit. We also limit how many AI-suggested messages someone can receive per day to keep chats balanced.
A suggestion mentioned something my bagel never told me. Where did that come from?
Most likely, it came from your bagel’s profile. This can include things like their prompt answers, job or education details, interests, or other info they’ve chosen to share. Topic Suggestions use the bagel's profile information together with your recent chat to surface ideas you may not have talked about yet.
I tapped the speech bubble icon and nothing happened / it's been loading for a while.
Suggestions may take a moment to load. If they don’t appear right away, give it another try in a while.
If the issue continues, please let us know and we'll look into that right away.
A suggestion feels off / is inaccurate.
If a suggestion feels awkward, inaccurate, or just doesn’t sound like you, feel free to ignore it and write your own instead. If you come across a suggestion that feels inappropriate or incorrect, please take a screenshot and send it our way.
We take all reports seriously and your feedback helps us improve the experience for everyone!
